KAUFMANN® Silicone Exterior Paint – Application Areas
KAUFMANN® Silicone Exterior Paint can be safely applied on plaster, sprayed plaster, combed mosaic, concrete, raw concrete, chipboard (betopan), MDF, OSB, and sound previously painted surfaces. It is also suitable for facades that have lost their color but remain structurally sound. Thanks to its high breathability, it is recommended for many exterior applications, including thermal insulation systems (EIFS).
KAUFMANN® Silicone Exterior Paint – Application
Surface Preparation
Surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry, solid, and capable of supporting the paint. Dirt, dust, oil, and loose layers should be completely removed, and any necessary surface repairs and corrections should be made. For newly plastered or concrete surfaces, allow at least 28 days of curing before application.
Primer Application
Before painting, the surface should be properly prepared with Kaufmann Primer.
Paint Application
KAUFMANN® Silicone Exterior Paint should be applied in at least 2 coats, leaving sufficient drying time between coats.
Application Conditions
During application and drying, the ambient and surface temperature should be between +5°C and +30°C. Avoid applying during the hottest hours of the day (10:00–16:00) and on surfaces exposed to direct sunlight.
