RP-RED163 Pool and Terrace Leak Repair Chemical – Application Instructions
Precautions Before Application
-
Weather conditions are important for the success of the application. For outdoor areas, do not apply when the surface is directly exposed to harsh sunlight; in such cases, evening hours are recommended.
-
In cold weather, there is a risk of freezing. It is advised to apply the product when the air temperature is 6–10 °C or higher.
-
The area to be treated should be thoroughly cleaned beforehand, and the surface should be fully wetted.
-
All water drains on the surface must be closed prior to application.
-
Oily surfaces (e.g., cafeterias) must be cleaned and free of oil before application.
-
The required amount of product must be accurately determined. Consumption may vary depending on the condition of joints on the wet surface:
-
Concrete surfaces: 1 liter per 2 m²
-
Old, worn, or long-used joints: 1 liter per 3 m²
-
Application Steps
-
Pour half of the total determined product amount onto the pre-wetted surface. Prioritize areas with heavy leakage and spread evenly with a brush.
-
During the first 5 hours after application, stir the product intermittently with a brush. This ensures the chemical reaction reaches its maximum effectiveness.
-
After the first 5 hours, dilute the remaining product with water at a 1:4 ratio and apply it to the surface, spreading it evenly with a brush. The diluted product penetrates hairline cracks more easily.
-
After the second application, wait 6–12 hours. At the end of this period, rinse the surface thoroughly with water to remove all residues, reopen water drains, and ensure the surface is completely clean.
The above information provides general application guidelines. Results may vary depending on the characteristics of the surface and existing conditions.
