Kalekim 1062 Technopool Two-Component Waterproofing Mortar
Provides superior flexible waterproofing for pools and wet areas.
Kalekim 1062 Technopool: High-Performance, Flexible Waterproofing Solution
Kalekim 1062 Technopool is a two-component, cement-based, fully elastic waterproofing mortar specifically developed for surfaces constantly exposed to water. Thanks to its special formulation, it provides excellent protection in critical areas such as swimming pools, water tanks, bathrooms, terraces, and balconies. Its high adhesion strength and crack-bridging capability extend the life of structures and create a permanent barrier against water leaks.
Technopool 1062, with its flexible structure, successfully bridges cracks caused by structural movements, offering a much more durable and reliable solution compared to traditional waterproofing materials. Its high resistance to chlorinated water and various chemicals makes it ideal for use in swimming pools. Its easy-to-apply nature and fast curing time provide time and cost advantages for both professional applicators and individual users. For those seeking long-lasting and reliable waterproofing, Kalekim 1062 Technopool is an indispensable choice.

- Packaging: Component A 20 kg kraft bag, Component B 10 kg plastic jerrycan (total 30 kg set)
- Swimming Pools: Provides excellent insulation for interior surfaces of pools exposed to chlorinated water and continuous water.
- Water Tanks: Safely used in all water storage areas, including potable water tanks.
- Bathrooms and Wet Areas: Ideal for under-tile waterproofing in continuously damp areas such as showers, bathrooms, toilets, and kitchens.
- Terraces and Balconies: Creates a durable waterproofing layer against rain, snow, and UV rays in outdoor areas.
- Foundations and Basements: Effective for waterproofing foundations and basement walls against rising damp.
- Hydraulic Structures: Ensures water tightness in channels, watercourses, and other hydraulic structures.
- Spas and Thermal Facilities: Preferred in such facilities due to its resistance to high temperatures and chemicals.
Surface Preparation:
- The application surface must be clean, dry, sound, and free from adhesion-reducing substances such as oil, dust, and dirt.
- Loose particles, mortar residues, and old coatings on the surface must be mechanically removed.
- Corners and joints should be chamfered or reinforced with mesh using Kalekim repair mortars before application.
- If necessary, the surface should be lightly moistened.
Mixture Preparation:
- Pour Kalekim 1062 Technopool Component B (liquid) into a clean mixing container.
- Gradually add Component A (powder) to Component B while mixing with a low-speed mixer (400-600 rpm) for 3-5 minutes until a lump-free, homogeneous mixture is obtained.
- Allow the mixture to rest for 2-3 minutes, then re-mix briefly before use.
Application:
- Apply the prepared mortar to the surface in two coats using a brush, roller, or trowel.
- The first coat should be applied horizontally, and the second coat vertically when the first coat begins to dry (approximately 5-6 hours later).
- The waiting time between coats may vary depending on ambient temperature, but the loss of tackiness when touched is sufficient.
- The total application thickness should be at least 3 mm.
Curing and Protection:
- After application, the surface must be protected from direct sunlight, wind, and frost.
- Ensure the applied surface is not exposed to heavy loads or sharp impacts for 7 days.
- A minimum of 7 days should be waited for full curing and contact with water.
- Environmental Conditions: During application, ambient and surface temperatures should not be below +5°C or above +35°C. Avoid applying to frozen, thawing, or potentially freezing surfaces.
- Mixing: Use a low-speed mixer to achieve a correct and homogeneous mixture in the specified proportions (Component A 20 kg / Component B 10 kg). Absolutely do not add extra water or any other foreign substances.
- Airflow: Avoid application in extremely windy environments or provide protection using wind screens to prevent rapid drying.
- Skin and Eye Contact: Avoid contact with skin and eyes as it contains cement. In case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary. Use protective gloves and goggles.
- Inhalation: Avoid inhaling dust. Work in well-ventilated areas or use an appropriate respirator.
- Storage: The product should be stored in its original sealed packaging, in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight. It must be protected from frost. Shelf life is 12 months under correct conditions.
- Post-Application: All tools used must be cleaned with water before the material hardens. Hardened material can only be cleaned mechanically.
- Keep Out of Reach of Children: Keep out of reach of children.
