Correct application of Filli Boya Dalmaçyalı EPS Thermal Insulation Board is critical to maximize system performance. Here is a step-by-step application guide:

  1. Surface Preparation: The application surface must be free of dust, dirt, and oil, solid, dry, and even. If necessary, surface corrections should be made with repair mortar.
  2. Plinth Profile Installation: At the lower level of the building, the Dalmaçyalı plinth profile is leveled and mechanically fixed to define and support the height of the insulation boards from the ground.
  3. Adhesive Mortar Preparation: Filli Boya adhesive mortar is mixed with clean water according to manufacturer instructions until homogeneous, allowed to rest for 5 minutes, and then re-mixed.
  4. Board Adhesion: Adhesive mortar is applied to the edges of the boards in a strip pattern, and in 3-5 dabs to the center (for cost savings or on very even surfaces). The boards are affixed to the wall starting from the plinth profile, pressing lightly and staggering them (like brickwork). Care should be taken not to let mortar squeeze out at the joints.
  5. Anchoring (Dowel Fixing): At least 24-48 hours after adhesion, the boards are mechanically fixed with anchors (dowels). At least 6 anchors per square meter should be used, placed at board joints and in the center.
  6. Corner Profiles and Mesh Application: Dalmaçyalı corner profiles are applied to all building corners, window, and door edges. Subsequently, an alkali-resistant plaster mesh is embedded into the first layer of Filli Boya plaster mortar, and a second layer of plaster mortar is applied over it. Meshes should overlap by at least 10 cm.
  7. Decorative Render and Paint: After the plaster mortar dries, a decorative external facade render can be optionally applied, followed by the final coat with Dalmaçyalı exterior paint.
