SİM Shingle – Modern and Durable Roofing Solution

SİM Shingle (Self-Adhesive, Break-Resistant Shingle) is an ideal solution for modern roofing with its bitumen-based structure. One surface is coated with an aesthetically appealing colored mineral layer for visual attractiveness, while the other surface is covered with a removable polyethylene film that facilitates easy application.

The Atactic Polypropylene (A.P.P.) additive used in production enhances the durability of the bitumen, and the fiberglass reinforcement strengthens the product’s mechanical performance. This ensures that SİM Shingle delivers long-lasting, safe, and visually appealing performance on roofs.

Designed to suit different architectural preferences and design tastes, SİM Shingle is available in classic (rounded), hexagonal (honeycomb), effect, and square (quadrangular) patterns, produced in a variety of color options.

SİM Shingle Features

  • Weather Resistant: Provides superior resistance against harsh weather conditions.

  • Complete Waterproofing: Its waterproof structure ensures full and reliable protection on roofs.

  • Wide Application Range: The colored mineral-coated surface delivers high performance and aesthetic appeal as a top-layer finish on wooden, reinforced concrete, and metal roofs.

  • Strong Adhesion: Adheres perfectly to the application surface and maintains this property over time.

  • Flexible and Durable: Longitudinal and transverse tensile strength provides necessary elasticity against structural movements and expansion differences.

  • UV and Temperature Resistance: Colored minerals protect the membrane from ultraviolet rays, melting at high temperatures, and cracking at low temperatures, extending the product’s lifespan. Ideal for top-layer applications requiring UV resistance.

  • Easy and Practical Application: Can be quickly applied using a torch flame and easily cut to desired sizes and shapes with special cutting tools.

SİM Shingle Applications

  • Wooden, reinforced concrete, and metal roofs

  • Inaccessible terraces and garden roofs

  • Domed and vaulted roof systems

  • Gazebos and pergolas

  • Garden sheds

  • Awnings

  • Challenging detailed areas such as chimney bases, parapet turns, gutters, concealed valleys, and expansion joints

SİM Shingle (Self-Adhesive, Break-Resistant Shingle) adapts to various architectural details, serving as a top-layer roofing material and providing economical, aesthetic, and long-lasting solutions for roofs.

Packaging

SİM Shingle (Self-Adhesive, Break-Resistant Shingle) is manufactured with a width of 32 cm and a length of 1 m.

Storage

Bituminous roofing sheets should be stored in covered, dry areas.
Pallets must be stored in a single layer and should not be stacked.
Products should be protected from ultraviolet rays and sudden temperature changes.

Application

Waterproofing applications using bituminous sheets should be performed at temperatures of +5 °C and above, in dry weather, and on dry surfaces.
Application surfaces must be smooth, even, and clean, free from oil, diesel, or any substances that could damage the waterproofing layer.

Approvals / Standards

SİM Shingle is manufactured in compliance with the TS EN 13707 standard and carries the CE marking.
