SİM Quickshingle Hexagonal (Honeycomb)
SİM Quickshingle provides aesthetic, durable, and professional…
SİM Quickshingle – Patterned Waterproofing Membrane
SİM Quickshingle is a patterned membrane that provides high-performance waterproofing with its patented structure. One surface is coated with colored minerals, while the other surface is covered with a polyethylene film, making it suitable for self-patterned applications. It is produced on a polymer bitumen basis and reinforced with polyester felt to enhance mechanical strength.
Features:
-
Pattern and Color Options: Classic (rounded), hexagonal (honeycomb), traditional, and rectangular
-
Provides aesthetic and durable waterproofing
-
Suitable for professional applications
SİM Quickshingle – Features
-
Repeating pattern structure: The patterns repeat themselves, providing a seamless and aesthetic appearance; application is fast and easy.
-
Nail-free application: Applied by heating and bonding, ensuring complete watertightness and secure insulation.
-
Wide climate performance: Delivers high performance in various climate conditions and is suitable for multiple applications.
-
Absolute waterproofing: Its impermeable structure ensures reliable insulation.
-
Compatibility with various surfaces: Provides high-performance insulation for wooden, reinforced concrete, and metal roofs, including all detailed areas.
-
Excellent adhesion: Strongly bonds to the applied surface and retains its adhesion over time.
-
Flexibility and durability: Offers elasticity thanks to transverse and longitudinal tensile resistance against structural movements; resistant to expansion differences.
-
UV and temperature protection: Colored minerals shield the membrane from ultraviolet rays, high and low temperatures, prolonging its service life.
-
Economical and durable: Adheres firmly to the surface; with proper use, it lasts for the building’s lifetime.
-
Practical application: Can be applied quickly with a blowtorch flame and cut into desired sizes and shapes using special cutting knives.
SİM Quickshingle – Areas of Use
-
Wooden, reinforced concrete, and metal roofs
-
Non-accessible terraces and garden roofs
-
Domed and vaulted roofs
-
Pergolas and garden sheds
-
Canopies
-
Challenging details such as chimney bases, parapet upturns, gutters, concealed gutters, and expansion joints
SİM Quickshingle (Patterned Membrane) is used as a final-layer covering material in many details, offering both economical and aesthetic solutions.
SİM Quickshingle – Packaging, Storage, and Application
Packaging:
-
Dimensions: 1 m width × 10 m length
-
Roll Weight: Approximately 40 kg
-
Pallet Content: 1 pallet = 23 rolls
Storage:
-
Bituminous membranes should be stored vertically in enclosed areas.
-
Pallets should be placed in a single layer and must not be stacked.
-
They should be protected from ultraviolet rays and sudden temperature changes.
Application:
-
Applications should be carried out at temperatures of +5°C and above, on dry surfaces and in rain-free conditions.
-
Surfaces must be smooth, even, and cleaned of contaminants such as oil or diesel that may damage waterproofing.
-
Reinforced concrete surfaces should be primed with SİM Primer, and the membrane should be applied after the primer has dried.
-
All membrane layers should be laid in the same direction; transverse joints of the first layer should be staggered, and the second layer should be centered over the longitudinal and transverse joints of the first layer.
-
The bituminous membrane is applied using a blowtorch flame; transverse overlaps should be 10 cm and longitudinal overlaps should be 15 cm.
Approvals / Standards:
-
CE marking in compliance with TS EN 13707 standard.
