SİM Polas – Liquid Waterproofing Material
SİM Polas is a bitumen-based, rubber-modified, single-component, water-based, and elastic liquid waterproofing material. It is ready to use; it is brown during application and turns black after drying.

In wet areas of buildings such as bathrooms, kitchens, and toilets

In multi-layer insulation systems with reinforcements such as glass fleece, bituminous felt, or mesh; provides waterproofing on roofs, balconies, and wet areas

SİM Polas – Application Instructions

Before application, surfaces must be cleaned of loose layers, dust, dirt, and oil that may prevent adhesion; any surface defects should be repaired.

Horizontal and vertical corner joints should be chamfered and shaped using repair mortar.

To ensure good adhesion, water-based Standard SİM Primer should be applied as a primer and allowed to dry; it is especially recommended for surfaces that are not completely clean.

After opening the product packaging and mixing thoroughly, apply to the surface using a brush or roller.

At least two coats should be applied; the second coat must not be applied before the first coat has completely dried.

For reinforcing large surfaces and for bridging horizontal and vertical joints and cracks, application should be carried out together with a special insulation mesh of 90 g/m².

After application on foundation walls, a protective panel should be installed.

During drying, the product should not be walked on or subjected to any load.

Application should not be carried out in rainy weather or at temperatures below +5°C.
