TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Surface Preparation:

The surface to be waterproofed must be clean, sound, and dry. All contaminants such as dirt, mud, rust, oil, and similar foreign substances must be completely removed before application. The product should not be used on surfaces with salt efflorescence or areas exposed to negative water pressure.
If there are cracks, defects, or areas requiring fillets on the application surface, these must be repaired in advance using ISONEM M 03 elastic mortar before waterproofing. Especially on substrates with large spans, applied thermal insulation, or surfaces that are movable and prone to cracking, a reinforced application with 45 g/m² reinforcement mesh is recommended.

If expansion joints are present in the waterproofing area, expansion joint insulation must first be carried out using ISONEM A4 elastic sealant, after which the general waterproofing application can proceed.

Before applying ISONEM MS POLIA, all surfaces must be primed with ISONEM Universal Primer, an insulation and paint primer. The primer should be diluted with water at a ratio of 1:7 (1 part primer : 7 parts water) and applied at a consumption rate of 100–200 g/m², then allowed to dry for at least 4 hours.
For sheet metal and metal surfaces, the surface must be primed prior to application with ISONEM Anti Rust Primer (anticorrosive primer) at a consumption rate of 0.250–0.350 kg/m².

Application Method:

ISONEM MS POLIA is a ready-to-use product. Before application, it is sufficient to open the lid and mix until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. The product is applied to the primed surface in two coats without dilution, allowing approximately 4 hours between coats.

Application should not be carried out at temperatures below 5°C, or on wet or frozen surfaces. Before application on flat roofs, it must be ensured that sufficient and correct slope has been provided, drainage outlets are adequate, and that there is absolutely no water ponding on the roof or terrace.

Consumption:

For two-coat application, the approximate consumption is 0.8 – 1.0 kg/m².

Paint / Coating Coverage (Two-Coat Application):

• 5 kg: Minimum 5 m² / pail

• 10 kg: Minimum 10 m² / pail

• 18 kg: Minimum 18 m² / pail

Color:

Can be produced in all desired colors upon request.

Packaging:

Supplied in 5 kg, 10 kg, and 18 kg PP pails.

Shelf Life:

When stored in its original, unopened, and undamaged packaging under suitable conditions, the product can be used for 24 months from the date of manufacture.

Storage Conditions:

The product should be stored in a dry and cool environment, and the packaging lids must be kept tightly closed.
