PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Isonem MS 20 is a specially formulated capillary plaster designed to repair and protect walls damaged by moisture and salt. Structures absorb harmful salts such as carbonate, sulfate, and nitrate from the soil through water caused by rainfall and seasonal changes. While this water eventually evaporates, residual salts and moisture can cause blistering, peeling, and surface damage to paint and plaster.
Isonem MS 20 provides a permanent solution to this problem. Its special micro-pores allow moisture within the wall to evaporate quickly without leaving traces. At the same time, it traps salts within these micro-pores, preventing expansion and protecting against salt-induced blistering and surface deterioration.
Thanks to its hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties, it prevents the wall from reabsorbing water. With approximately 40% micro-porosity, it also contributes to thermal insulation. This ensures that walls remain breathable, paint and plaster surfaces are protected for longer periods, and the overall structure becomes more durable and resilient.

APPLICATION AREAS

Bathrooms, kitchens, and basement walls: Used in areas continuously exposed to moisture to prevent blistering caused by dampness and salt efflorescence.

Walls in contact with soil: Prevents damage to wall surfaces from rising capillary water and salts from the ground.

Plinth (sub-base) areas: Protects against moisture-induced deterioration and paint peeling.

All types of paint blistering: Helps prevent recurrence of existing blistering and peeling, keeping surfaces healthy and durable.
Surface Preparation:
All old plaster layers damaged by salts and moisture must be completely removed from the surface prior to application. Any cracks, voids, or weak areas should be filled with ISONEM M 03 Elastic Repair Mortar to create a solid and stable substrate.
Application Method:
After completely removing the salt-damaged plaster mechanically, the mixture is prepared. Pour 4 liters of clean water into an appropriate container and gradually add the product while mixing with a mechanical mixer for approximately 5 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
The application is performed in two layers:

First layer: Apply approximately 5 mm thick using a trowel. Wait 24 hours after the first layer.

Second layer: Apply a thickness of approximately 2 cm, then trowel and smooth the surface.
If painting is planned, wait at least 14 days after application and use paints with high vapor permeability to ensure the surface can breathe.
Consumption, Packaging, and Storage Information

Consumption: Approximately 20 kg/m², valid for a plaster thickness of 2.5 cm.

Coverage Area (Paintable/Coatable): 1 kraft bag (20 kg) covers a minimum of 1 m².

Packaging: Supplied in 20 kg kraft bags.

Shelf Life: When stored in its original, unopened, and undamaged packaging under proper conditions, the product can be used for 24 months from the production date.

Storage Conditions: Store in a dry and cool place with the packaging tightly closed. Protect from moisture and adverse environmental conditions.
