İsonem M 35 – Super Crystallized Watertight Waterproofing

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

• pH (25°C): 12.0 – 13.0 – Its high alkalinity ensures effective crystallization within concrete.

• Water Permeability Rate: < 0.1 kg/m²·h⁰·⁵ (Class W₃) – Significantly reduces water penetration through the surface.

• Adhesion Strength (Pull-Off Test):

  • Non-traffic areas: ≥ 0.8 N/mm²

  • Traffic areas: ≥ 1.5 N/mm² – Provides strong adhesion and long-lasting performance.

• Water Vapor Permeability (SD): 5 ≤ SD ≤ 50 m (Class II) – Allows the structure to breathe without compromising waterproofing.

• Solvent: Water-based, solvent-free – safe and eco-friendly formulation.

APPLICATION AREAS

• Suitable for waterproofing applications on horizontal and vertical surfaces (floors and walls), both internally and externally.

• Provides effective and long-lasting waterproofing in clean water tanks, wastewater tanks, and similar water-retaining structures.

• Ideal for concrete surfaces exposed to seawater, protecting against damage caused by salt and moisture.

• Creates strong waterproofing against groundwater in basements and underground foundations.

• Can be safely applied for internal or external waterproofing of foundation retaining walls.

• Used in engineering structures such as irrigation channels, tunnels, and dams to ensure water tightness.

Surface Preparation

• All surfaces to be treated should be thoroughly moistened approximately 2 hours before application to ensure full saturation. If the surface is already damp or wet, additional moistening is not necessary.

• Surfaces must be completely cleaned of oil, dirt, mud, dust, loose particles, and any foreign matter that could reduce adhesion.

• For concrete surfaces, any existing segregation, surface defects, or tie holes should be repaired in advance using ISONEM D 10 LATEX and ISONEM M 03 Elastic Repair Mortar.

• Existing expansion joints should be filled beforehand with ISONEM A4 Elastic Sealant.

• Once these steps are completed, the surface is ready for application, and the mixture can be prepared.

Mix Preparation

1. Pour 7 liters of clean water into a suitable container.

2. While stirring, slowly and gradually add 20 kg of ISONEM M 35 to the water.

3. Continue mixing for at least 5 minutes, preferably using a mixer or drill with a mixing attachment at approximately 400 rpm.

4. The final mixture should be homogeneous, lump-free, and brushable, with a paint-like consistency suitable for easy application.

Application Method

• Apply the prepared mixture with a brush in three total coats, allowing at least 4 hours between layers.

• Each coat should be applied in the opposite direction of the previous one to ensure full and uniform coverage.

• After the three coats, the surface should be completely sealed.

• Do not apply in freezing conditions or under extreme heat. In summer, application should be done in the early morning or during the cooler evening hours.

• In cold conditions where freezing is possible, pre-moisten the floor or walls with warm water before application.

• If the surface will remain exposed and not covered with plaster, it should be re-moistened at 48-hour intervals during the curing period. This ensures a stronger, long-lasting, and effective waterproofing layer.

Consumption
The product should be applied at 2 – 3 kg/m² for a three-coat application, depending on the condition and absorbency of the surface.

Coverage Area
A 20 kg kraft bag will cover approximately 6 – 10 m², depending on application conditions and surface porosity.

Color
The product is gray.

Packaging
Packaged in 20 kg kraft bags.

Shelf Life
Unopened, undamaged, and properly stored products have a shelf life of 24 months from the production date.

Storage Conditions
Store in a dry and cool environment. Keep the packaging sealed and protect it from moisture and adverse environmental conditions.
