Surface Preparation – ISONEM Liquid Marble
-
The surfaces to be coated must be free of all oil, dirt, dust, and debris, and must be clean and dry.
-
For concrete and raw wooden surfaces, apply a primer using ISONEM EP PRIMER before applying Liquid Marble.
-
For marble countertops, sand the surface with a sanding stone; Liquid Marble can then be applied directly without primer.
Mixing Instructions
-
ISONEM Liquid Marble is supplied in ready-to-use sets according to the application ratio.
-
Only prepare the amount of mixture needed for immediate use, keeping in mind the pot life.
-
Materials should be at a temperature of 15–25°C.
-
Mix component A mechanically at 300–400 rpm for 3–4 minutes, ensuring no air bubbles form.
-
Then add component B completely into component A, ensuring all material is incorporated.
-
Mix A + B for at least 3 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
-
The prepared mixture should be used within 30–40 minutes.
Application Method
-
Spread the mixture over the surface using a brush or roller.
-
If a thicker layer is desired, apply a second coat after the first layer has surface-dried.
-
To enhance the marble effect and decorative appearance, tools such as a sponge roller, epoxy roller, or butterfly roller can be used 1–2 hours after application (during semi-dry stage).
-
Initial hard curing occurs in 18–24 hours, while full curing and maximum chemical/mechanical resistance are achieved within 7 days.
