Isonem Anti Rust Primer – Anticorrosive Primer for Steel Surfaces
Epoxy-based, fast-drying, highly anticorrosive metal primer…
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
It is a powerful epoxy resin–based anticorrosive primer that can be applied directly to all metal surfaces. Thanks to its high corrosion resistance, it protects the applied surface against rust for a long time. With its excellent adhesion, fast drying time, and easy application, it offers both a professional and practical solution.

AREAS OF USE
It can be safely used as an anticorrosive primer on all metal surfaces requiring corrosion resistance. In addition, it is effective in protecting concrete structures against corrosion. For steel structures, it is recommended to be used as a primer coat before the application of ISONEM ANTI FIRE PAINT PLUS 120 min Fire-Resistant Paint.
Surface Preparation
The surfaces to be applied must be completely free from oil, grease, dirt, dust, rust, and all kinds of residues that may negatively affect adhesion, and they must be dry and clean. Metal surfaces should be prepared by abrasive blasting to a minimum of Sa 2½ grade, which is the ideal method, and primed with ISONEM ANTI RUST PRIMER within a maximum of 6 hours after blasting.
After primer application, approximately 5–6 hours should be allowed for the product to complete its hard drying, after which the topcoat application can be carried out. Before application, ensure that the material and ambient temperature is at least +15 °C.
Application Method
The product is supplied in ready-to-use sets according to the specified mixing ratios and does not require thinning. Component A is mixed using a low-speed mixer equipped with a suitable mixing paddle. Then, Component B (hardener) is added, ensuring that the sides and bottom of the container are thoroughly scraped and the mixture is completely homogeneous.
After the prepared mixture is allowed to rest for 10–15 minutes, it is applied using a short, stiff-bristle brush, a short-nap roller, or an airless spray. If a second coat is required, it should be applied after the first coat has reached surface dryness. The waiting time between coats should be 5–24 hours. If this period is exceeded, surface roughening is recommended before applying the final coat.
